Sorry
about not updating the blog for so long as nothing has really changed
besides the rehabbing process. I have been going in for treatment six
days a week at the Bobby Mattick Training Center, which is also our main
Spring Training facility. I rehab in the mornings for about four hours,
which involves the newest laser technology, strengthening, stretching and
various other treatments. There are also many big league guys rehabbing
down here as well; Michael Barrett, Wade Miller (who is from Reading, PA)
Jesse Litsch, Travis Snider, along with a few others. Yesterday was two
weeks since the surgery and my rehab program has been going really
well. I have been staying very optimistic and happy with the way my arm
is recovering. My range of motion is coming back extremely fast and the
trainers seem to be very happy with my progress. I still have some pain
in the front of my shoulder where they shaved the bone down, but the
trainers have told me that takes the longest to heal and will continue to
be painful. I should still be on schedule to start throwing in about a
month. I can't give enough credit to the trainers I work with down here.
They have been giving me top notch treatment and pushing my shoulder to
the point where it needs to be. Wish me luck and I will continue to keep
the blog updated with the progress of my shoulder!
