2009 Lil' Bevo's BBQ "Throwin' Smoke" Competition

Overview
The Lil' Bevo's BBQ Throwin' Smoke Competition will determine the fastest Wiffle® Ball throwers in Ephrata.  There will be a winner for each circuit.  The Throwin' Smoke Competition is sponsored by Lil' Bevo's BBQ with all proceeds benefiting the Ephrata Baseball Association and the Ephrata High School Baseball Booster Club.

Qualifying Round
Each participant will pay $3 for three balls and throw the balls into a net while a JUGS® radar gun measures the velocity of the pitch.  The highest recorded score of the three balls will be noted.  The three participants with the highest scores for each circuit will advance to the championship round.  Participants may enter the qualifying round multiple times, but three distinct participants will advance to the championship round.  In the event of ties, there will be a pitch-off immediately preceding the Championship Round.

Championship Round
The championship round will consist of each participant throwing three balls.  The fastest throw will be recorded.  The participant with the fastest throw in each circuit will be crowned the 2009 Lil' Bevo's BBQ Throwin' Smoke Champion in his or her respective division.
